#1 Bold Statement Marble

When it comes to making a bold statement in a small space, few things can compare to the impact of marble design. And we’re not talking just any old marble design, but something that stands out, like the stunning Calacatta Viola polished marble that just exudes luxury.

Not only will these statement marble designs bring a luxurious look to any room, they also offer plenty of versatility. Not to mention they can totally be offset by the simplicity and minimalism of other decor elements in the room.

If you’re looking to make a statement with bold marble designs, try incorporating it as part of your kitchen’s backsplash, bathroom sink or even your coffee table or nightstand. To make it even more eye-catching, you can play up the different textures and tones in your space. To create an overall look that is both striking and inviting, try pairing this bold design with neutral tones for an on-trend design that won’t go out of style.

Though it has been used for centuries in some of the most opulent buildings and homes around the world, marble is making a comeback in contemporary design. And, thanks to its durability and easy maintenance, marble is a great choice for busy spaces like kitchens and bathrooms.

Install marble countertops:

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to incorporate marble into your space, installing marble countertops is the way to go. Not only will you get the beautiful look of marble, but you’ll also enjoy its durability and easy upkeep.

Use marble tile:

Another great way to use marble in a small space is by incorporating it into your tile design. Marble tile can be used on floors, walls, backsplashes—you name it! Plus, there are endless patterns and designs you can create with marble tile, so you’re sure to find something that fits your style.

Add a touch of marble with accessories:

If you’re not ready to commit to an all-marble design, you can still add a touch of luxury with marble accessories. Try adding a marble soap dispenser or toothbrush holder to your bathroom or placing a few marble coasters on your coffee table. Small details like these can really make a big impact.

#2 Darker Woods

In recent years, there has been an increasing use of more natural materials across many interior styles. Additionally there’s been a growing demand and desire to bring elements that remind us of nature into living spaces. We see this in Biophilic interior design and Japandi, even Scandinavian design.

Wood as a natural material is one of those design elements that reminds of nature and we see it a lot in various home furnishings and design homes. From structural elements like accent panels to hand crafted vintage furniture, all add character and warmth to a home.

Wood home furnishings in fact, create a feeling of quality craftsmanship and feel like meaningful pieces in a home. But where lighter woods like birch and oak were all the rage in 2022, we definitely can expect to see a shift to darker, richer woods.

And now there’s a shift away from lighter woods in home design and furnishings, and darker woods rich with bold hues are taking center stage. This is likely due to a number of factors, including the increasing popularity of minimalism and industrial-inspired design trends. Darker woods tend to lend a more sophisticated and dramatic look to a space, which can be perfect for creating an atmospheric or intimate setting.

Trends can of course be interpreted in many ways. However, interior designers know that some of the biggest interior design trends can stand the test of time. Wood is incredibly versatile and adaptable to various styles. You may opt for a walnut dresser or a dramatic black stained furniture piece, or even dark open shelving to add some depth. The trick is to play up contrasting textures and materials against these sorts of cool tones. I think that’s really key to this trend.

Want A Custom Design Of Your Space?

There are many different types of dark wood that can be used in home design, from richly stained cherry wood to walnut and deep black ebony. Each type of wood has its own unique grain and coloration, so it’s important to choose one that will complement the overall style of your home.

Whether it’s a darker stain on existing pieces or new furniture entirely, darker wood can be used as statement pieces to create a focal point in the room.

And with its rich and sophisticated tones, both open concept spaces and cozier enclosed spaces can benefit from the warmth and depth this trend has to offer. Adding dark wood to your interior can give it a luxurious feeling. The richness and depth of the color can make any space feel more sophisticated and inviting.

Here are some tips on how you can use dark wood to add a touch of luxury to your home:

1. Use dark wood floors or furniture to create a dramatic backdrop.

2. Incorporate dark wood into accent pieces, like a coffee table or headboard.

3. Use dark wood in custom built-ins or millwork for a luxurious look.

4. Create contrast by pairing dark wood with light-colored walls or fabrics.

5. Use rich, jewel-toned fabrics and accessories to complement the darkness of the wood.

#3 Metallic Accents

Home design is now embracing captivating metallic accents like never before which brings me to our next trend. From glittering chrome to classic brass, the possibilities are endless. People are getting more creative and daring with their choices of metallic finishes, re-introducing classic design elements into their spaces. Whether you’re choosing a finish for a light fixture or your modern kitchen design, metallics are where it’s at. Any interior designer will tell you that this trend is making a comeback.

In 2023 we’re going to see more of a shift and a move towards more contemporary finishes that accent and compliment contemporary interior styles. These finishes will be used to bring an added touch of glamour and sophistication, in a unique way that we haven’t quite seen before. Metallic accents are not exactly new to the scene, however, the way it’s being re-introduced into more contemporary interior design styles is so exciting to see.

Metallic accents as we’ve known them can look quite gaudy or traditional glam in that sort of Z Gallery sort of way. However, in conjunction with some of the more modern furniture and textures, you can create a really stunningly sleek and luxurious look in your home.

Metallic accents can be used in a variety of ways from furniture to fixtures, from cabinets to ceiling details, from mirrors to table lamps. There’s something about seeing the very high gloss finish and almost mirror like quality of the chrome finish that totally has my heart.

When it comes to incorporating metallic accents into your home design, it’s important to strike the right balance so that it’s not too over the top. Careful space planning is key and knowing what finishes or accent pieces before hand is always helpful.

Here are some tips for tastefully incorporating metallic accents into your home design:

1.Choose pieces that are timeless and classic.

2.Pick finishes that compliment the existing interiors of your space.

3.Incorporate just a few key accents rather than going overboard.
